The United States Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service is delighted to have you join this event, designed to re-connect U.S. companies who participated in the June 2023 Agribusiness Trade Mission with interested Japanese buyers. We are very pleased to host you virtually in Tokyo and Osaka, and look forward to productive follow-on meetings for each of you. Japan is the world’s third largest economy and remains the United States’ fourth largest agricultural market, purchasing more than $15 billion in U.S. agricultural and related products in calendar year 2022, the last full year on record. Japan distinguishes itself as a major buyer of products across the full spectrum of U.S. agricultural exports.
